Anti-Racism Resources for Outdoor Families & Environmental Educators

Updated: Nov 2, 2020

We've been really listening and learning these past few weeks, especially from the Black community, people of color and leaders in diversity education. In doing so we've compiled the following list of resources to support nature-based parents and fellow outdoor educators in the journey to social justice awareness and activism. Check out the links below, and know that this is only the beginning of our multi-pronged action plan for equality and diversity at our forest school and beyond.

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion in the Outdoors

Social & Environmental Justice Resources

Anti-Racism Resources for Environmental Educators

Anti-Racism Resources for Individuals

Anti-Racism Articles for Families

Race & Diversity Books for Children

Environmental & Outdoor POC Leaders & Influencers

Black-Led Businesses & Organizations in WNC

We hope to continue to add to these lists over the next year, and would love to answer any questions you have. Thank you for joining us in this stand of solidarity. We move forward in the spirit of equity, humanity and a shared love of earth. We are One.
